export access report to excel fails

Hi

I am trying to export a report in Print Preview to an Excel file.

I have tried two methods which appear to work (i.e. no error message) but no file is created:

1. Used the File Menu export

2. Used the Analyze Option in the toolbar

Any Ideas

I was able to export a report to excel by only having the detail section and no Labels in the headers and footers.

If you export a formatted report i.e. titles and labels you will find in the excel file that the data is pushed to the right of headers etc.

The other alternative is to write the record source of the report to a table then export the table to excel.

Hi Alan

I found a combo box caused it to not write anything - bit daft as I didnt need one anyway - removed it and Access created the XLS. But your right in that many items are shifted right.........
