    wireless connection for vision apps instance

    Pls could you help me with necessary set up of hostname or domainname of machine hosting apps Instance so that I can ping it from another deskstop or laptop within my wireless network in my house for learning purposes. I can share my files and folders among my wireless network but I want to access ping my vision apps instance from my laptop as well. To connect my apps from my laptop using internet explorer. I want My laptop to act as client. My apps instance is on window xp.
