    Problem in Connecting Oracle 9i with 10g!

    Hi,

    I have installed Oracle 9i client on my machine.I need to access Oracle 10g server. I tried to connect to the server.
    But I faces the error message showing PROTOCOL ADAPTER ERROR at the last.

    Can anyone please tell me the steps for connecting to the server.

    Did you specify an ORACLE_SID in your connect string? Or have it set as an environment variable?
