    Exclamation Unable to install MSDE 2K on Windows 2K Professional

    Hi All,
    I have been trying to install MSDE 2K on Windows 2K and all goes well untill the end when the following message pops-up:

    "Setup failed to configure the server. Refer to the server error logs and cnfgsvr.out for more information."

    I am basically unable to find the solution, will somebody help.

    Did you check sqlsetup.log or other sql logs in windows folder? The logs there give detailed information on why it failed.
