Service Pack 4
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to ask before I apply my servers with the latest service pack.
Has anyone encountered any problems after applying SP4 or any comments?
Thanks & Regards

I would wait for few more weeks before applying. Did you appy this on your dev or test environment?
-
We have done it in our stand alone dev environment without any issues. But as Mak says don't rush into it, go gradually from one environment to another.

Thanks guys.
I will be applying SP4 on the servers in our test environment.
I went back to the sql website, and found that MS has identified issues with sp4 if SQL Server with Address Windowing Extensions (AWE) support enabled. So I will be taking your advices wont be rushing in to anything.
thanks.

Like skhanal, I have installed this on my dev SQL Servers (all but 1) and have not had any problems yet. I am eager to get this in production however, as it contains some bug fixes that I have been waiting for.

Don't apply on server with more than 2gb memory and has awe enabled. Waiting for kind of sp4a.

rmiao
Did you run into something?

Thanks
So much for the hype about beta tested by millions crap.

I don't have AWE enabled on my servers, but that's big enough of a bug that it makes me afraid of the other potential bugs that haven't been found yet.

Yes. Its not very exciting when you have to rollback service packs in a replicated environment.
