DOWNLOAD button on ASP page after SP2 install
Many of my customers using ASP pages get unexpected results when clicking the DOWNLOAD button on the page. The expect to get the File Download dialog box with the option to OPEN or SAVE. If they click OPEN the records are now displayed in an IE browswer page instead of the Excel spreadsheet where the records used to be sent prior to SP2.
How do I give SP2 users the option of OPENing into an Excel spreadsheet or to SAVE the records to a .CSV file like before?

1. Classic ASP-db ?
2. Download SAve/Open is controlled in the browser setup.
3. Supply a sample code to illustrate the problem.
4. SP2? XP? does that behave different than before?

Hi Jim,
This isn't an ASP-db problem at all, but heres a "free" windows support answer anyway...
Open My Computer>Tools>Folder Options>File Types
Select the XLS and click on Advanced
Uncheck the Browse In Same Window check box
Apply and close My Computer
See if that does the trick.
Take care,
John
