    Linked Table Password

Where does Access store passwords for linked tables?

I created a linked table, changed password at the source but access was still showing records in linked table. I am sure it must have got it from its cache.

Even when I go to Linked Table manager and refresh it does not complain about the password. Isn't this strange?

In the linked table manager Check "Always prompt for new location"

    Check the "Linked table"

and click ok. this will prompt you to select the ODBC again, so that you can type in the password.

I was thinking refresh will ask for the password.

But still it does not explain how i can still query linked tables after changin password in SQL Server but without changing password in Access .
