Blocked Drag and Drop operation

I'm using Access 97. On my form there's the concept of a list of linked documents associated with each particular record. This bit is work all fine. I have a button, which opens a form to add another document to the list. The details recorded are a comment and a hyperlink (which contains a link to the document on the network).

It kind of half works!!!.

When I drag and drop (I really want to be able to do this) a document on the the hyperlink control it accepts it fine. But if I first type into the form either into the hyperlink control or the text control for the comment details (see above), then attempt a drag and drop action, it is blocked, the mouse pointer switches to a circle and line through it symbol.

What's happening.

Its as if the controls or the form go through a state change, which creates the block.

Anybody...Help?
