hi,

I'm now doing research on what is the best way for transfer data between two database which base on my situation as below:

1.) It is kind of remore access, the source database is MS Access and it is located at remote site, and the destination database (Oracle) is our local intranet.

2.) I'm thinking of Remote access, but security concern, might afraid it is not secure.


3.) Not very sure how could I transfer the data, but I have my own idea:

a.) remote access and retrieve the data from access databse and save it as .rst/CSV/xls format, after that transfer the .rst/CSV file to our local intranet and then parse into Oracle database vis scripting. But for the records which alreday existed must skipped. All these must be done by normal user, not technical people...

pls advice...
