Remove unwanted characters from text box and memo fields

I need to remove characters like <>/=&@! from text boxes and memo fields before they are entered into the database or when they are retrieved from the db.

Major Micro Systems has a good example you can look at. Please check it out. It&#39;s example 121 at: http://208.196.181.86/apps/
That should at least give you some ideas.
Also, you could use the text replace function of dbMagicCell when displaying.
