    SQL.ini

I've installed the Sql server 7.0 enterprise edition on my development server, which will be used for developers, Can anyone suggest how do I add the server entry in SQL.ini file. I'm new to Sql server.

    Thanks for your help.

    SQL.ini (reply)

    Lara,

I've never heard of an SQL.INI associated with MSSQL, however what are you trying to do?

Do you not see the new server in an existing edition of the Enterprise Manager (EM)?

If so, you must register the new server in the EM; this is obivous from the menu in EM, you can either use the server's name or IP address.

If you wish to use an .INI file for an application, you may add a reference using the same syntax as any previously added server and again you may use the server's name or IP address.

Post more info for a better reply.
