I have network admins chomping at the bit and I am not sure what the answers
to their questions are.

We are beginning to build a data warehouse and just got a new server in. The
server has 3 raid controllers,
16 18 gig drives, 2 4 gig drives, 4 P2 400 processors and 2.25 gig of ram.
They want to leave room for expansion so they have configured 2 physical
raid-5 devices. I would think that it would be best to put the log on one of
the raid-5 devices and the data on the other.?? I would also like to know from
any hardware/SQL SERVER experts on the list if this sounds like a good
configuration for the disks, or if they should be configured in another way?
I have no experience with SQL SERVER on databases larger than 600 meg, so any
suggestions/comments would be greatly appreciated.

Also, what are the processer/memory thresholds for SQL SERVER/NT SERVER
standard editions vs enterprise?

Thanks,
Mike.
