I have a couple of questions related to the SQL Executive.

First, the "Unexpected Server-Down Detection Polling Interval" on our SQL Server is set for 5 minutes. This generates a considerable number of entries in the Executive log file. Is it necessary to check the server service as often as this?

Second, our log file regularly contains two errors generated from the DBLib Error Handler. I've included a section of the log that includes the errors. Can anybody explain what an "Invalid connection" is or how "DBPROCESS could be dead or not enabled"?

Log File:
6/6/2000 6:32:03 AM - ? Task 28 - 'Back2_1 ACMA2' has completed (status: Success)
6/6/2000 6:32:03 AM - ! DBLib Error Handler: Possible network error: Write to SQL Server Failed. Invalid connection.
6/6/2000 6:32:03 AM - ! DBLib Error Handler: DBPROCESS is dead or not enabled.
6/6/2000 6:32:03 AM - ? Task completion for 28 - 'Back2_1 ACMA2' is being logged to syshistory
