NorthWind database for SQL server 2012

Hi at all,

I'm a new entry in this forum and I'm new with using T-SQL.

I made search in the forum but I do not found any response to my issue.

I installed SQL server 2012 express version and, as by topic title, I want to install/attach NorthWind database on the server. But the server give me an error message because the NorthWind database is incompatible.

Please, can anyone say me if there is a way on how can I install/attach NorthWind database on SQL server 2012?

Your NorthWind is from which versionof sql?

Hi rmiao.

My NorthWind database is for version 2000 or 2005 of SQL. They are the only versions of SQL for NorthWind database

Need upgrade it to sql2k8 first.

Thanks for your suggestion but i found the solution.

In the NorthWind folder that I have downloaded there is a NorthWind.sql file script, run that and problem solved.
