We're moving to a new SQL Server and server name is new. Is there an automated way to push the new ODBC connection to the network as I have about 150 users?
Try modify registry remotely with some script.
Can somebody post the script or point me when to find it?
This is the reason we always have a DNS alias for all databases such as
dbpubs.abc.com
that translates to the actual server IP at DNS. Something to keep in mind for future.
