I am trying to install MSDE 2000 on a Windows 2003 French OS. I am specifying COLLATION=SQL_Latin1_General_Cp1_CI_AS in the setup.ini file because I would like the default collation to be set to this. The installation fails. It fails because some unkown error generated by cnfgsrvr.exe.
Has anyone seen this? Is it possible that the Windows collation is overriding or conflicting with the SQL Server collation that I am specifying?
Any thoughts?
