db2 and sql server

Hi,

I am working with sql server and db2 databases.

depending on certain values in sql server I need to extract data from db2 database.I have a Dsn (odbc) created for db2.

what would be the best way to do this.
1.is it posible to directly write a stored procedure which can interact with db2 data base or.
2.use some application like VB to manipiulate data using ADO.

Please this is urgent.
